Studies have shown that some students learn best when eating or snacking while they study. Many schools, however, do not allow food in the classroom because they believe that eating can interfere with class work. The principal has asked for student opinions about eating in the classroom.
Write a well-developed persuasive letter to convince your principal to allow students to eat in the classroom or to keep food out. Your letter should be persuasive and contain at least one counterargument and rebuttal.
Your essay must be written in a letter format and include the following:
At least 5 paragraphs (introduction, 3 body paragraphs, and a conclusion)
A thesis statement that states your position on the topic and three reasons to support your position.
Body paragraphs should begin with a transition and have a clear main idea. Use evidence to support your reasons.
