Voter Fraud
Thesis: With this past election it seems more than ever that voter fraud needs to be addressed so that neither side can use that as an excuse why they lost, and one simple way is by making it mandatory to have a form of identification.
Topic #1: This isn’t the first election that voter fraud has been brought up, in fact democrats are accused quite often of voter fraud.
Topic #2: Voter fraud has been used to try and turn elections through many elections even all the way back to the 1800’s.
Topic #3: In the election this year history was made by a candidate having more votes than President Obama, but the odd thing is that both major candidates not only had more votes, but crushed President Obama’s record setting votes received.
Topic #4: Guidelines used for this year’s election was one of untreaded waters and left an election to run wild with few rules being followed and showed that we clearly need to set guidelines so a pandemic can’t influence our elections.
Topic #5: One simple solution is that of requiring to have some sort of identification or official way to make sure the vote being casted is that of the person casting the vote.
Topic #6: Almost everything we do today requires you to identify yourself, from buying beer or cigarettes, to having campus I.d.’s to go to school. If we must do this for minor things in life, why not for electing government officials.
Topic #7: By requiring identification verification we would no longer have to go through long processes of political parties blaming voter fraud on why they lost.
Topic #8: This solution is one that we do every day and would be an easy policy to implement in without causing a huge financial burden.
