Write an essay concerning any of the themes we discussed or that you found
interesting in Mary Shelley’s novel Frankenstein. I would like you to use at least 4 peer-reviewed articles or books, from databases we discussed in Galileo, from the library, or from the
Norton edition of the text, that discusses the novel in literary terms. You should also include quotes
and other examples from the novel to support any claims you make. Do not allow the quotes and
articles to overwhelm and drown out your own voice in the essay. I expect these items to
complement your argument rather than make it for you. Be sure that your analysis has an
ultimate claim in mind that the entire essay stays focused on proving. Aside from the articles,
you may want to use other sources, feel free to do so. Also, feel free to tie the novel in with any
current trends you see within society.
