Write an essay on a topic of your choosing that provides an analysis of information gathered through independent research synthesized with your own thoughts and interpretations of your research in order to develop, support, and prove a clear thesis or main point.
Your paper should be analytical: that is, it should involve your thinking about the issues and about the sources and should NOT just be a report of what other people have said. It will likely involve both explanation and argument. How much of one or the other will be determined by your purpose and your thesis.
I will be asking you to draw upon no less than 5 sources to complete this task. You many choose what sources to draw upon; however, no more than half may be internet-based sources. Digital versions of books, peer-reviewed journals, or other periodicals available in print do not count as internet sources.
