Write an essay on whether you believe one or more of Lakoff’s arguments are sound, strong, or reliable.

You will write an essay on whether you believe one or more of Lakoff’s arguments are sound, strong, or reliable. It is up to you to identify the argument. As a starting point for this essay, think of answering the below questions with Yes / No and then Why?

Do you believe an argument Lakoff makes in Moral Politics is effective?
Do Lakoff’s premises seem acceptable (truthful, reflecting reality)?
Do Lakoff’s conclusions seem valid? Do they grow logically from the premises?
Do you agree with Lakoff’s argument you’ve identified? Why or why not?
Are his conclusions his premises acceptable to you? Why?
Do you see any logical fallacies in his argument?
You will have to consider such things as premises and conclusions, deductive arguments, validity, soundness, inductive arguments, reliability, and perhaps even logical fallacies, all things we learn in Writing Logically, Thinking Critically, as they apply to Moral Politics.

You will need to find at least three (3) pieces of textual evidence that Lakoff uses as premises or conclusions in his argument. You will then argue if you think his argument is valid. Again, essentially, you are arguing if Lakoff’s arguments are effective.

Important: You are not being asked to analyze Lakoff’s content, but the effectiveness of his arguments. Essentially, you are arguing whether Lakoff’s argument is effective or not, (pick one) with textual evidence that proves why.
