Describe the value of working closely with a family to identify
teaching and classroom management strategies for their child who has
special needs. (Consider a “special need” could be a physical
impairment, behavioral issue, communication disorder such as Autism
Spectrum Disorder or a developmental delay.) Two questions to consider
is: How would you implement an Open Door Policy for families of
students? What sort of Communication Plan would you put in place to
ensure open communication?
