Write descriptive details about the location of your dream vacation. Write what you plan to do while on vacation, as shown in your artwork. You can participate in an activity with which you are familiar, or you can do something you have never done before and would like to try.
Write the names of the colors and shapes used that define your focal point (the one small area of your composition that is designed to draw the viewer’s attention first.). Write the location of your focal point (upper right, lower left, center, or elsewhere.)
Use correct grammar, and complete sentences, avoiding “run-on” sentences. Forget abbreviations and contractions. Write clearly and concisely. Use “spell check.” Write between 75 and 300 words. Limit your writing to no more than 300 words. I will grade only the first 300 words written.
Helpful definitions of common writing errors to avoid:
“Run-on” sentence- two or more complete sentences connected improperly. Divide them into two sentences.
Contraction- a word made by shortening and combining two words. Avoid words like can’t (can + not) and don’t (do + not). Use two words.
Plagiarism- a writer copies someone else’s words, phrases or ideas and passes them off as their own.
Proof read- check, correct, edit, rephrase or cut your writing. Proof read your writing before submitting it online for grading.
