ASSIGNEMENT:

Having completed your team presentation on risk management for Larry and Lucy, the next phase is to complete a qualitative risk analysis for the LSDS-Jupiter Systems joint project. You may use the PMBOK definitions of risk probability and impact in Section 7, and the probability and impact matrix in Section 8, but you must complete Section 6 Risk Categories of the PRMP, and then complete an initial qualitative risk analysis necessary for the LSDS-Jupiter Systems project. Enter the results of your analysis for the identified threats and opportunities in columns 3, 4, and 5 of the Risk Register in Section 10.
For this and all assignments in this course, there is a considerable amount of information that you do not have about LSDS, e.g. history of the company, culture, and structure of the company, leadership, leadership structure, project managers, engineers, etc. However, you are given the latitude in this and all the following assignments to fabricate the reality you will be dealing with based on the information you do have. You are to assess every angle of the company and consider all of the project stakeholders who will be impacted by your team’s risk management training and consultation. You are to make assumptions about people’s titles, departments, roles, perceptions, etc., and create the story. Bear in mind the fact that your risk management training and consultation will be used by LSDS project managers for managing the uncertainties all of the projects LSDS plans and executes internally for itself and externally for its clients and customers.
