This interactive webpage is based on a year-long NY Times exposé whereby a team of reporters explored how social class impacts an individual’s destiny in the U.S. In addition to providing concrete narratives from individuals who are at various levels along the social class spectrum, the site features detailed information about a plethora of topics including: how class mobility in the U.S. compares to other Western countries; the impact of religion, education, marriage etc. on social class; and how to assess one’s social class in the U.S. The site also contains a variety of videos and other multimedia graphics that provide visual imagery to the concept of social class in the U.S.
