Describe the path of digestion and focus on 3 organs or locations of digestion in the body that can include but are not limited to; mouth, esophagus, stomach, pancreas, liver, gallbladder, small intestine and large intestine (6 points).

Digestion is important because your body needs nutrients from food and drink to work properly and stay healthy. Proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins , minerals , and water are nutrients. Your digestive system breaks nutrients into parts small enough for your body to absorb and use for energy, growth, and cell repair.
Proteins break into amino acids
Fats break into fatty acids and glycerol
Carbohydrates break into simple sugars
Discussion:
Examine the human digestive track that is taken by substances that enter the body, how and where they are broken down in the body and then absorbed for use. Please describe the path of digestion and focus on 3 organs or locations of digestion in the body that can include but are not limited to; mouth, esophagus, stomach, pancreas, liver, gallbladder, small intestine and large intestine (6 points). Be specific in how nutrients enter this portion of the track (3 points) and what occurs in these areas to further break down or make substances useful to the body (3 points). Ensure post is submitted no later than 11:59pm Wednesday and is thorough, using complete sentences and proper grammar (2 points).
