TRAVEL AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT

PLEASE PICK A TOPIC FROM TRAVEL AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT TO WRITE THE PAPER ON.
You are expected to select a topic that is relevant to the nature of this class. You are welcome to
send me a topic in advance but it is not mandatory. The paper is due November 16.
You have to present the topic in no less than 3 pages double space (Times New Roman 12 font).
Your paper would be graded based on:
-originality of your topic
-its impact on the tourism and travel industry and how you were able to demonstrate it
– ideas
-clear presentation and support of an argument
-organization of a paper
-keep an expression of your opinion very little (it is not an opinion-based paper, don’t confuse it
with weakly discussions.
-mechanics
-what sources you used to write a paper (you will get more significantly points if you use at least
a few
scholarly articles from scholarly journals versus the Internet sources and magazines)
All the work you used should be cited but I do not require this paper to be written in any
particular citation style ( e.g. APA or MLA)
Do not grab some pieces from the Internet, cite them, than grab another piece, cite it and etc., so
I have mainly the Internet pieces to read. I want to read your work. The paper should have no
more than 3 Internet citations and at least 5 scholarly citations. Scholarly citations mean
academic journals and our library can assist with it. Please e-mail the librarian if you are not sure
how to do it and their department will tell you how to find those articles. You can do it all on line
I just want you to put some effort in this piece. *** If there are no at least 5 scholarly
references that feet a body of the paper nicely I will automatically deduct 10% from the
paper grade.*** I just saw many students who don’t want to find anything scholarly and prefer
to make life easier by just relying on the Internet. The librarian will be able to help you. It will
take some extra time but very feasible.
Papers must be submitted thru Canvas. For each day you are late with a paper submission I will
deduct 5 points from your final grade. Please don’t copy-paste things from the Internet without
proper citations Please don’t copy a paragraph from the Internet cite it at the end and shortly
