Biological Psychology and Neurosciences impact many areas of life and health around us. No week will this be more evident in our discussion board forum than this week, in which we search the current news for articles or stories on the internet that are related to biological psychology. This post will allow us all to look up information online about a topic that interests us. You can choose the topic that you are most interested in and write about it.
INITIAL POST: PLEASE LABEL each part of your initial post with the letters below a), b) as follows to make it easy to parse. Thanks!
a) Find a story online that has to do with the brain or neurosciences.
b) Please make the first few words of your post reflect the TOPIC that the article is about.
(This way, when students scroll through the discussion forum, in the short view, they will see the “topic” of your post when scrolling.)
For example; “Video games improve memory.” Would be the first few words of your post if you chose to write about an article that covered this topic.
c) Provide the link.
d) Summarize the story in your own words. Please write clearly and in your own words. There is no need to be formal as if you are writing a paper, but you should write in complete sentences with proper grammar and punctuation.
e) Please state whether your article or story is from an online scholarly journal, a popular media source such as news article, or blog, etc.
REPLY POST:
Reply to one other student about the article THEY chose. Compare and contrast it to the article you choose. Add a few substantive comments, comparisons, and/or feedback for the student. For example, had you heard of the topic they chose to write about before? Were you surprised by new information? Can you make a connection between something they wrote and the article you chose, or even something you learned in this or another class?
