Overview of the Literature Review: Provide an introduction to the entire literature review, including a brief description of the problem of practice, purpose, and organization, and a description of the library search process.
Theoretical Foundations for the Applied Improvement Project: Relate at least two key theories to the problem of practice, including articulating similarities and differences in application.
Review of the Literature Related to the Problem of Practice: Articulate themes in the literature related to the problem of practice, including critique and synthesis of issues and positions.
Review of the Literature Related to the Intervention or Solution: Articulate themes in the literature related to the intervention or solution, including critique and synthesis of issues and positions.
Review of the Literature Related to the Methodology: Review pertinent literature that describes and supports the project’s design and methods.
Literature Review Summary: Include an explanation of how the literature provides a foundation or framework, describes unknowns, describe similarities and differences, relate findings to the problem of practice, and explains support of the AIP.
