Your analysis will be 8 pages in length, NOT inclulding the Cover page and a References page in your page length requirement.
You should have a MINIMUM of 10 articles cited IN ADDITION to your chosen book.
Structure:
I. Introduction – Tell your reader what you are going to be doing. Provide a clear road map for your paper. What are you doing? Why is this important for Public Administration? Why should I read what you have to say without providing your personal opinion of why I should read what you have to say? Rather, this is your professional analysis.
II. Main Body
A. Overview of the book. What is the author talking about? What is the author trying to convey? Does the author do what the author says they are doing?
B. Comparison of the book to more recent literature on Leadership in PA. (A good source would be articles from Public Administration Review, which can be accessed through the the Lamar University Library, some of which may be provided in the content section and listed in the recommended readings).
C. Contrast of the the book to more recent literature on Leadership in PA. (A good source would be articles from Public Administration Review, which can be accessed through the the Lamar University Library, some of which may be provided in the content section and listed in the recommended readings).
III. Conclusion – Tell your reader what you just did. Did you do what you say you were going to do? Provide your reader with the context of what you found and why it is important to Public Administration.
