Each student must create a Football Coaching Portfolio. The student should pick a school and then create a Portfolio for the purposes of interviewing for the Head Football Coach Position at that particular school. The Portfolio must contain the following information:
Coaching Philosophies
Program Organization (Who’s going to be on you staff calling plays and there job title)
Program Goals
Coaching Strategies
Teaching/Coaching Techniques
Installation Schedules (when are you going to start teaching the team your plays)
Sample Practice Plans
Gameday Organization and Operations
There are no minimum or maximum amount of pages required for this Portfolio. Your Portfolio should be thorough and contain enough information to impress an Athletic Director or other Administrator that you may be interviewing with. You may use pieces of previous Coaching Portfolios that you have developed in other Coaching classes.
Not only is the content within the Portfolio important, but so is the aesthetics. The Portfolio should be organized, well designed, and visually appealing.
Because this is a Coaching Portfolio, it does not need to be in APA Format. No Title Page or Abstract is required; however, if you do pull information from outside sources then you do need to include an APA Style Reference Page at the end of the Portfolio.
