This paper will take a point of view regarding a historical strategic case study and argue
it. The paper will employ footnotes and will exploit to the fullest potential the latest
literature in the field. As a minimum, papers must have eight credible rigorous academic
sources (monographs, articles, chapters). Dependence on internet information taken from sources such as Wikipedia is
unacceptable.
The “A” paper is well-researched, organized and thoughtful. It proposes an interesting argument
concerning strategy in the context of a historical case study. That argument is supported with
interpreted examples from the academic and other material researched. This academic and other
research material exceeds the criteria laid out for the assignment and is extensively cited. The
introduction is comprehensive enough to let the reader know what will be discussed in the paper,
but it does not engage the arguments in support of the thesis statement. There is a clear thesis
statement in the introduction. The argument is persuasive and defensible, delivering on the need
to discuss historical strategy. The conclusion overviews the points raised in the paper and adds
some insight for today based on the preceding discussion. The paper has few, if any, grammatical
or mechanical errors. Attribution is done correctly, and notes follow Chicago style (Turabian).
