What have you lost and what, if anything, have you gained?

2500 words on your personal experience of Covid. In this paper, we want you to reflect on the way Covid has impacted your life. Think about any ethical problems it may have presented to you, but also think about other ways in which Covid has changed your experience. Have any good things come to you through this experience, or has it all been bad? What have you lost and what, if anything, have you gained? What have you learned from your experience of Covid that you would not otherwise have learned?
As always with good writing it will be important to be specific. If you have one concrete example that you want to work through, explain it at the outset and then analyze it. But you may have several things you want to examine. “How I dealt with the loneliness of the pandemic” or “why I found it very difficult to do my work during the pandemic” or “why I discovered a new kind of happiness during the pandemic” or “this is what it’s like to eat every meal in my room for twenty-two days.” Or you may have faced a very concrete ethical challenge during the pandemic, like deciding whether or not you could continue to work in public, knowing that you were putting your life at risk, and want to discuss that. But please stretch your wings a bit here, as a writer, and use your personal life for material.
If you are citing, use any format you like as long as you keep it consistent.
