The link I have provided above is the directions for this synthesis essay. It is on the book “Into the Wild” chapter 3 and we are supposed touse one of the epigraphs that chapter 3 started with. I used this epigraph:
– “It should not be denied… that being footloose has always exhilarated us. It is associated in our minds with escape from history and oppression and law and irksome obligations, with absolute freedom. And the road has always led west. ” Wallace Stenger, The American West A Living Space
The googledoc shows the rubric and the steps. After completing all of the steps 1-11, you have to put it in a google doc in MLA format.
The part that is going to be graded the harshest is steps 6, 8 and 10. Which are the analyzing parts while proving the claim at the same time. Also, DO NOT change the claim.
For step 8, you are supposed to summarize what the epigraphs cource is about, which I will link a google doc from stuff I found on google: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ly6iSQu_u2QMK20OanIoNhsgExC-RLbIcn1T7ndQWPk/edit?usp=sharing
