This is an essay for my class on the history of the 20th century. I need to make a connection between the rise of the 2 new superpowers (USA and USSR) after the second World War and the weakening of old ones (specifically France) and the involvement of the United States in the Vietnam war.
I need an introduction, 4 body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph must be about 1/2 to 31/4 of a page.
Here are my arguments:
1. 2 new superpowers (USA and USSR) after World War 2, and weakening of old one (most importantly: France)
2. Cold war and the Truman doctrine (tensions between USA and USSR)
3. Independence of Vietnam (during Indochina war, France was weakened), Vietnam is divided
4. USA is afraid of the Domino effect and Diem is murdered
The first argument causes arguments 2 and 3, and arguments lead to argument 4
Also, there can be more than 11 sources if needed.
I have quite a lot of notes for my essay and I would really like it if they were used. My notes are all in the word document that I provided with the sources of the articles and the page numbers.
I need a thesis statement at the end of my introduction and topic sentences at the begining of every body paragraph.

I need about 16-20 footnotes. But there is no need to include any direct citations, paraphrase is best. Ifcitations are needed, 3 citations maximum.
