This final paper intent is the partial demonstration
of completion of all course objectives. Each objective will serve as a section
of your paper and should appear at the top of each section to clearly identify
the objective being addressed.
This paper should be 8 to 10
pages (excluding title page, abstract, and references) in length,
double-spaced, and in APA 7th style format. Double spaced and in 12 Times Roman Don’t, A
total of 8 creditable sources are to be cited and clearly identified inside of
the body of this paper. A list of sources that may assist and help crafting
this assignment is at the end of these instructions is you so choose to use
any.
Quality is important, address the
issues stated in the objectives in depth is crucial thus two pages at a minimum
per objective is the standard and what needs to be seen, Remember it is a
synthesis and as such should make minimal use of adjectives and adverbs.

Explain
the current status, historical growth, and projected trends of gang membership
in the United States and locally. (1 to 1 ½ pages acceptable)
2.
Describe
current research on gang formation and the implications for society and community,
local and national. (2 pages)
3.
Identify
and classify the types of gangs common in various geographical or societal
communities and their effect on social, educational, and criminal justice
systems, including social service and health providers, police, courts, and
schools. And the problems encountered in classification.(2 pages)
4.
Assess
various approaches, programs, and policies for responding to gang formation and
activities. (2 pages)
5.
Synthesize
relevant issues in gang formation and functioning and create recommendations
for community response. (2 pages)

position statement: A brief statement of your view of the current state of
gangs and gang membership in the US. (refer to course objectives)

projects (3-6) that have offered the most relevant information into gang
formation and gang functioning. Select the research from the course textbook or
by way of research that appears to provide the most beneficial and relevant
information to understanding Gang Formation, Behavior and Activities.
