Summarize the article and, through utilizing the course concepts in the book, explain how it exemplifies the material presented by Fuchs.

Introduction: In the introduction, you should offer your reader a clear overview of the
topics covered in the assigned chapters. This should be a succinct overview.
o Take-Aways: In the take-away section, you need to talk about the THREE most important
things in each chapter assigned (for the third week, you will have nine total take-aways with
three chapters covered). For the take-away section, you are going to explain the take-away
and why you feel it is one of the most important things in the chapter. The take-aways can
be information you think people should be aware of, information that gave you a moment of
clarity about social media, or a WTF moment where you felt that Fuchs missed the mark (try
to limit how many WTF moments you have in each response!).
o Current Event: Based upon the reading for the week, find a credible journalistic article (not a
blog but this does not need to be a scholarly article) that covers a topic you feel relates to the
readings for the week. Summarize the article and, through utilizing the course concepts in
the book, explain how it exemplifies the material presented by Fuchs. Please note: This is a
300-level course and I’m looking for more than simply a “This article about Twitter fits
because Twitter is social media.” I am measuring your comprehension of the material
through your ability to find an article that covers your topic and links to some of the specific
course concepts in the readings for this week. In other words—dig a little deeper than just
finding a random article that you are only able to say “this is about social media and this is a
social media class!”
o Reference List: This should include a reference to the article and the reference to the textbook
in APA or MLA formatting
