Transcript for Voice Mail Message From Rosa Miller to Sam
Hello, Sam. This is Rosa, your manager. I learned in this morning’s meeting with Human Resources that several changes have been made to our company’s vacation policy. I am calling to let you know about the new vacation policy.
In the new vacation policy, employees with three or less years of service will now have one full week of paid vacation. Employees who have 3–5 years of service will now have two full weeks of paid vacation. Employees with five years or more of service will be offered three full weeks of paid vacation.
In accordance with this new policy, employees must now submit a vacation request at least one month prior to the vacation date. Employees are also required to submit a vacation request to their team lead. Keep in mind, though, that no more than two employees from any one department can be on vacation at the same time.
Since these policy updates are being implemented very soon, I need you to notify your department members of the policy changes. In your message, please address all the vacation policy changes I have shared with you.
More information on the vacation policy changes can be found on the company’s intranet. If you could have this sent out by close of business today, that would be fantastic. Thank you for sharing this information with your team. Take care, Rosa.
Step 1: Listen to the Voice Mail Message From Rosa Miller to Sam again.
Write a script for the voice message (which should be one minute or less), which you will hypothetically send to the two employees in Sam’s department.
