1. Were you aware of the gender pay gap before reading this article? If so when were you first made aware of this
problem?
2. Did you know that this also included issues of race?
3. In reading about the historical background with wage inequality, name two things that stood out to you the most with
this issue. What about these issues stood out or surprised you?
4. Have you or anyone that you know discovered that they were making less than a co-worker- based on gender?
5. Discuss why is it important to correct pay equity gaps for all women?
6. How do we persuade top management and those in charge that gender pay equity is important and needs to be
fixed?
7. There are several areas listed at the end of the document that point to areas where work still needs to be done.
Discuss an area mentioned here that you think will have the most impact and also come up with another area that is not
mentioned that you think will help to combat the problem.
