Questions:
According to the film, one in six Americans says they don’t always have enough to eat. Were you aware that hunger was such a big problem in the United States? Discuss Hunger in America and its relationship to food banks. What is the cost of hunger is America? Why are people in America going hungry? Why does hunger remain a critical issue in America?
Are food banks a solution to hunger in America? Why or why not? Explain your response. Even though there are ~40,000 food banks in the U.S., there is still widespread hunger and food insecurity. Why is this? What changes would you suggest in your community to make sure its residents receive consistent access to healthy food?
Obesity and food insecurity have a very strong correlation. Discuss this relationship. Why do you think obesity is so prevalent among food insecure individuals? How can we improve obesity and food insecurity? Discuss ideas for making healthy foods more affordable.
Which character(s)’ story in the film did you found particularly moving? How so? What did you learn from the film that you didn’t know already? Has it changed your perspective in any way? If so, how? Explain.

Your responses to the questions above should be detailed, honest, personal, and informative. Please use specific references from the movie and class to support your ideas in the paper.
