Write a research paper on promoting developmental assets through community service. A
Charalambous et al. (2018) described a system that improves equity and quality in schools that serve disadvantaged students. However, the focus was on educational outcomes, rather than the whole child. The goal of this activity is to design co-curricular activities (i.e., community service) that promotes developmental assets and complements efforts to improve schools.
In this activity, you will be designing a community service project for early adolescents (i.e., 12 to 15) that provides them with opportunities to:
Further extend their understanding of, and experience with concepts related to citizenship and civic education
Increase their access and experience of developmental assets.

Describe a community service activity that applies concepts of citizenship/civic education that would be feasible for younger adolescents
