Answer these response questions in about 250-500 words each (choose the one you watched):
1, What is “Orientalism?” Where/why does Said think it originated? Why is it important? Give an examples of Orientalism in contemporary media and culture today. Be specific.
2. In White Like Me, Tim Wise traces the history and construction of White privilege in the US. Some key ideas he talks about are: reverse racism, post racial, and color blind. Explain these ideas. Why, according to Wise, are they so problematic?
