Info about me: (I was thinking 2, 6, 4 or 5)
– going to be a senior in fall 2022, and graduate in spring 2023 with a bs in biology and a minor in neuroscience
– working as a medical assistant in urgent care for two years now
– work 7/8+ hour shifts every other weekend
– do a lot like triage, obtain vitals, order x-rays/labs/bloodwork, do EKGs, bandage/dress wounds, help MDs and PAS with minor surgical procedures
– I work with all kinds of providers and work together to provide the best care for patients
– treat all kinds of patients from low-income to non-English speakers
– as an MA I can make lots of decisions on my own based on what I feel is necessary for the patient
– I hope to educate and help patients integrate pepper lifestyle choices that will benefit their health once I become a PA
– my plan after PA school is to work in underserved communities and provide fair access to healthcare
