Backyard
This week you will write a summative paper on
an environmental pollutant of your choice that is a known issue in your
community. Your paper
should include the following:
1.
Identify the known pollutant.
2.
Identify the ecosystem type that this pollutant tends to
affect most around your community.
3.
Where and/or how is the pollutant generated?
4.
What impact does it have on the organisms in that
environment?
5.
Once you identify the root cause and the impacts,
identify what nutrient cycle you think is being most disrupted by this
pollutant.
Feel
free to use the following chapters and pages from your textbook and the PG
Library to support your research. You do not need to use all of these following
chapters; however, your text is a great resource for completing this
assignment.
