institutions in the society.” (Arnett Ferguson) Consider our critique of education
systems and the work of Paulo Freire. Think about both the individual experiences and
the collective experience and consider the drastically uneven distribution of education
funding by class and race as illustrated in class. Add to your research with
documentaries such as Teach Us All, Precious Knowledge, Daughters of Destiny,
College Behind Bars and Waiting for Superman.
