What do the quotes reveal about concepts of American identity?

What do the quotes reveal about concepts of American identity? The American experience ? Is there an actual definition for one American culture? What are some of the differences between each individual’s definition? Is there anything you read from Chapter one that may apply to their specific viewpoints or perceptions on the “importance” (or lack thereof) of their racial/ethnic classifications? (i.e., Do the quotes tell us anything about how individuals view social constructs differently)

I will provide the graph needed for the following assignment AS FIGURE 1.1…

1. What is the significance of Figure 1.1? What are some of the limitations and problems with the group names used in this graph? Are the group names “social constructions”? What does it mean if something is a social construct?
