– What treatments might be utilised? Using the best available evidence, what could be your management plan? How does this plan relate to current community care pathways?
– Relate aspects of your treatment plan to the individual’s social and emotional functioning
– What are the considerations relevant to the case study’s individual goal setting?
– How would you monitor the progress of your intervention?

As in level 4 you should use literature to support your assertions wherever appropriate, but from levels 5 onwards a crucial element of your assignments is the adoption of an evaluative and critical approach and you will be expected to research this assignment thoroughly using skills gained in 4AH004 Reflective and Evidence Based Practice. You are assessed on your ability to critically appraise literature and to use those critical opinions to build an academic argument. It is expected that you select material from a wide variety of sources: books, academic articles, the Internet, etc. and in this assignment you will be rewarded for choosing appropriate literature and using it to justify your clinical intervention decisions. Time will be allocated to discuss the assignment in the module Neurology, Gerontology and Palliative Care teaching programme, but if you have any further concerns about this please see a member of the teaching team.
