In Lecture 1 we talk about 3 key ways that economic geographers define what counts as a “global city”. What are they? How do you feel about these ways to rank cities? What alternative criteria would you suggest to rank what cities are counted as “most global”? Why do you propose these different criteria? What cities might come out on top of the rankings based on your criteria?
