Read Unit 1 Journal Article and write an analysis. In your analysis of the article, you will do the

1. Identify the independent variable(s) and dependent variable(s).
2. State the author’s goals in your own words and identify the authors’ hypotheses.
3. Describe specifically the research design used in the study.
Discuss the results.
4. Specify whether the findings support the authors’ hypotheses and provide a brief discussion of
why the findings were or were not supported.
The paper (1-2 pages double-spaced) will follow APA style and format. The paper should not simply be an answer to each of the points listed above. Rather, you should integrate your answers into
coherent and well-structured paragraphs describing the study and findings. Paper should include a
title page, which does not count towards the page requirement. Paper should use objective and
concise language. Do not use first person pronouns, adjectives (such as, but not limited to,
wonderful, amazing, fabulous, awesome), exclamation points, or contractions.
This assignment is to help prepare you to write you research paper. Grammar and punctuation will
also be graded. No late work accepted.
