For this assignment, you will need to interview your mentor and a colleague. Each interview is worth 10 points, thus 20 points are available for this assignment. You must complete both interviews and submit in one document.
Spend time meeting individually with your mentor and a colleague this week. Ask each of them the following questions;
If you had to summarize what differentiated instruction and intentional teaching is, how would you describe them?
Describe the relationship between differentiated instruction and intentional teaching.
Explain the importance of the teacher to the success of implementing teaching strategies.
How do you know which instructional strategies to use and how do you know if they were successful?
Provide a summary statement for each of the above questions for both your mentor and your colleague. Next, write a short reflection sharing any new insights you had while completing this assignment. Lastly, locate one scholarly resource related to differentiated instruction or intentional teaching and evaluate it. Please share your resource with me (it can be an article, book, etc.) and how you think it was useful to your learning.
Your assignment must be submitted in a Word document, using proper APA format. Both interviews should be included in the one document (do not submit more than one document total). Be sure to proofread for spelling, grammar, etc. The Writing Center is a good resource if you need some additional support.
