This project is based off of what you learn in in Chapter 10. The purpose of this project is for you to become acclimated with performance management process. You will complete the following steps to complete the project:
Step 1: Review the companies current performance management process below. Unfortunately, this company is missing key components needed to ensure employees and managers understand the performance management process.

Communication between employees and supervisors or managers is very important.
Discussions regarding job performance are ongoing and often informal. Employees should
initiate conversations with their supervisors if they feel additional ongoing feedback is needed.
Generally, formal performance reviews are conducted annually. These reviews include a written
performance appraisal and discussion between the employee and the supervisor about job
performance and expectations for the coming year.
Step 2: After review of the current performance policy you are to create a new performance management program that will help increase employee performance and communication. To begin you will need to create a new performance management policy.
Step 3: Create your forms for your program. You will create an appraisal form with standards.
Step 4: Create PowerPoint and answer the following questions:
1. Describe the appraisal method you created and why.
2. Are the standards you created absolute standards or relative performance standards? Why
3. How will you avoid appraisal distortion utilizing your performance management system. Explain.
