Discussion: Sex and Gender

What to do
Last week we studied gender, and this week our topic is sexual orientation.

I would like you to think about the unique challenges that LGBTQ (https://ok2bme.ca/resources/kids-teens/what-does-lgbtq-mean/). people experience. I’m purposely leaving this open-ended. VERY open-ended.

Part One
I would like you to start by finding an article OR news article which discusses any issue relating to this topic. (Did I mention this would be open-ended?) Ideally, find something that interests you–maybe something that surprised you?

Part Two
Now you are going to be writing about what you read. Your paper should follow this format.

1. The URL of the article

2. A BRIEF (one paragraph) summary of the article

3. A discussion–What are your thoughts on what you read? What you write will largely depend on what type of article you chose.
******Your paper should be about 300 words in length. There is no penalty if it is longer.
