Write a one-page essay (250 to 350 words) that answers each of these questions.
Explain and evaluate the claim that race is a historical and social construction. Describe the role scientists have played in developing as well as dismantling the idea of race as biologically rooted. Then, reflect on how this evidence affects how you think of your own racial identity.
