1- The essay is a Pro memorial (Investigative essay) about the Swedish language.
2- Select two or more of the following language variations for your investigative essay – Chat language, Slang language, Dialects, Sex languages (language and gender), Kronolekt, Suburban Swedish, Swear words.
3- It is often said that language is power. There are many different linguistic variations of Swedish, depending on gender, age, social background, or cultural affiliation. What does the linguistic variation you have chosen mean? What attitudes are there to the linguistic variation you have chosen? In what way can linguistic variation be used as a means of power?
4-Present the issues by raising a question in the introduction part. Describe your choice of linguistic variation based on the sources. Then discuss how linguistic variation can be used as a means of power. The discussion should be based on your description.
In your conclusion, you should:
Reconnect to your question (s) and try to answer it/them
Discuss whether your sources show different ways of looking at the subject
Discuss whether your sources reinforce or disprove something you thought from the beginning
Raise the subject to a general level of society
