Topic: Automation and technology occupy a growing space in our lives. The writers in this unit have widely varied responses to this phenomenon. Using their strategies as a model and their arguments as support, answer the following questions: To what extent do automation and technology threaten jobs and workers in the US? How should we respond to the situation?
Important Notes:
You must use at least two (2) sources in your paper, all of which will come from the assigned readings. Do not use any sources outside of our assigned readings (without approval from me). These sources must be cited correctly, including parenthetical citations and a Works Cited page.
Please underline your thesis. This will help you (and me) determine the focus of your argument.
You will need to support your argument with specific examples. Also, you should keep in mind those who would argue against your position.
Use the readings to your advantage, not only to help you develop your ideas but also as evidence to support your claims.
