The Final Written Research Project is built using the topic, research question, sources, and thesis statement you develop when completing the Research Proposal and Annotated Bibliography Assignments. Be sure to read feedback from these assignments to help you develop your final Written Research Project. The requirements for the Written Research Project are as follows:
Must be a minimum of 5 typewritten pages in length (the works cited page does not count towards overall length requirement). MLA style examples can be found here https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/mla_style/mla_formatting_and_style_guide/mla_sample_paper.html (Links to an external site.) )
Must utilize a minimum of 2 scholarly sources and information drawn from all sources be properly cited using MLA style of citation ( assistance with MLA style of citation can be found at https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/mla_style/mla_formatting_and_style_guide/mla_formatting_and_style_guide.html (Links to an external site.)
Please remember for every source you have in a works cited list you must have at least one corresponding in-text citation. The general rule of thumb is you must cite the source if you quote, paraphrase, or use thoughts drawn from a source. It is not a question of “How many in-text citations are required?” It is a matter of ensuring you give credit where credit is due by properly citing the source.
