Literature Review and Critical Appraisal.

Provide a title that conveys or describes the assignment.
Literature Review Provide the key terms used to guide the search for the evidence and provide at least five (6) summaries of research studies to support the evidence.
Critical Appraisal of Literature Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the evidence, what is known from the evidence and any gaps in knowledge from the research evidence.
References Cite a minimum of six scholarly references in APA 6th ed format.
-you need an APA formatted title page (student papers do not need a running head, page numbers upper right, title is in bold)
-the title of the paper goes centered above the first paragraph in bold [DO NOT use the word introduction ]
-you need an introduction paragraph to the topic, for this part it would be the importance of a literature reivew for your topic and critically appraising the literature to make sure it is valid and reliable.
-you should have a section on how you found the articles, for instance, what databases did you use (i.e. Cochran and/or Cinahl) and what key words did you use in your search, what year ranges (ranges should be within the past 5 years), how many articles did you find and how did your sort through them to find your top 5 (or 10) articles that you used for the reivew.
-the next section will be your critical appraisal of the literature. Discuss strengths and weaknesses of what you found and any gaps that you discovered.
-you need a conclusion or summary paragraph
-reference page- the word Reference is centered in bold see page 40 in 7th ed APA manual. Reference pages are a separate page.
-every citation in the body of your paper must be on the refence page and every reference you have must be used as a citation in the body of the paper. If you use quotes, you must include the page number or paragraph number within the citation. If you use the author(s) first in a sentence, then you would have the page number at the end in parentheses such as:
Smith et. al., (2021) stated the comparison of behavior theory to social cognitive theory is minor(p32).
-make sure you use headers throughout your paper, see APA manual for levels of headers
