Preparing for the Discussion
Read and annotate the Style & Symbolism stories and watch the Style & Symbolism PowerPoint before beginning this discussion.
Then, choose your favorite story of the 3 and/or the one which gave you the most to think/write about. I recommend reviewing your story annotations and your Style & Symbolism Response before beginning the discussion.

Creating the Initial Discussion Response
Consider the symbols in the story. Which concrete items or characters are connected to larger, more abstract meanings? What are the meanings?
Then, choose 1 of the following:
Design at least a 4-song playlist inspired by one of the stories we read this week. Put the link to the playlist in the body of your post. Instructions for making YouTube (Links to an external site.) and Spotify (Links to an external site.) playlists are linked here. OR
Use Canva (Links to an external site.) to make at least a 4-picture collage inspired by a symbol or symbols present in the stories we read this week. The Canva templates for collages (Links to an external site.) and mood boards (Links to an external site.) are linked here. Screencap your collage or download a jpeg file and embed it in the post using the button at the top of the message.
Write at least 1 developed paragraph (5-7 sentences) explaining how your playlist or collage connects to the story. Put the paragraph underneath the playlist or collage.
