The purpose of this project is for you to learn how finance practitioners apply financial knowledge and theory in practice. The project involves listening to podcasts interviewing seasoned investment and finance practitioners who are involved in various areas of finance and investment. The long-running podcast of Patrick O’Shaugnessy brings together a multitude of views and opinions of investors and finance practitioners from different industries and of different investment philosophies.

Note that there are multiple seasons going back to 2016 (about 250 podcasts or episodes). Your assignment will be to select and listen to 4 (four) podcasts and write about topics and questions raised in the podcasts. You can pick any 4 podcasts from any season. You must answer the following questions for each of your 4 podcasts:

What do they do? Where are they employed?
What is their area of expertise or specialty?
What have you learned?
What is the topic of the podcast?
What did you like the most about the podcast?
What did you like the least about the podcast, if anything?
How does the investment strategy (or strategies) described in the podcast makes money
for investors or protect them against risk? Be specific and provide examples.
What are the risks associated with investment strategies described in the podcasts? Be
specific and provide examples.
Do you think this strategy (or strategies) will work for you personally? Discuss pros and
cons.
Share any other thoughts you may have about podcast’s impact on your knowledge.
