Amino Acid Supplementation

It is a research paper, so I expect you to have peer reviewed references. As I already told you in an email with your topic, all of the topics are talked about in Chapter 23. Some topics have a lot of information, others not so much. Note that for basically all of them, there are little numbers in the text that indicate references that were used. You can find out what those references on the ebook, I think you get that, if not I will send them to everyone. http://thepoint.lww.com/mkk9e.
Things I want you to make sure you address in this paper:
Is this substance or activity legal or illegal? The answer to that may be a bit nuanced. Maybe it is legal below certain amounts. Maybe it depends upon the sport.
Does this substance or activity actually improve athletic performance? All of them there are people who believe they improve athletic performance, but what does the actual scientific evidence indicate or suggest.
Does this substance or activity have risks for those you use it? If so, what could happen and how likely is it?
There are different reasons why some of these might not be legal, maybe it is because it is harmful to those who use it, maybe it is because the “powers that be” have decided that it would give some an unfair advantage. If you have any questions, let me know.

My “draft” which was written the night before it was due so it was obviously not good and my professor left a couple notes on that, that could be helpful for you when writting.
Notes:
Neither higenamine nor hordenine are amino acids.

When you use a source, it needs to include what journal it came from the volume, the pages. If there are more than 1 author then cite is as (Plotkin et al, 2021).

You do not put an abstract on a research paper such as this. An abstract summarizes what a study finds out, you conducted no study, you searched through what has been published on a topic.

Not sure what your introduction is telling me about the topic.

Are they legal, answer is yes.

You site no study showing that supplementation has any benefits. Some benefits have been suggested by folks, where is the evidence that they actually exist?

So the Plotkin et al 2021 article is actually from the International Journal of Sport Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism 31(3):292-301

To say that there is clear evidence of the benefits that you claim is really a stretch. You have to dig deeper and look at more than a paper.

How many times are you going to say consult a healthcare provider?

There is a lot of evidence that assuming you have a healthy diet, they have no benefit other than to the individuals making money off of selling them.

If your deficient in an essentatial amino acid it is a nutrition deficiency issue not a supplementation issue, consume a healthy diet. The question is if taking more has benefits.

The textbook is “Exercise Physiology: Nutrition, Energy, and Human Peformance, Ninth Edition” he would like for the textbook to be cited also.
