Discuss three (3) population-driven challenges associated with your topic?

For this assignment, you will write a 4-5 page research paper using scholarly and scientific articles to interpret data and draw a conclusion that answers your approved research question (refer to Week 2’s assignment). In your paper you are to include:
An introduction that clearly states your thesis and how it focuses on your topic and answers your drafted research question.

In addition, for each new subtopic that supports your overall thesis, be sure to articulate in your text how the subtopic relates and further expounds on your thesis statement.

A conclusion that helps the reader understand why your research topic matters after they have completed reading your paper. Do note, the conclusion statement is not a summary of your overall paper.

In addition to submitting the term paper, you will also create a 10-15 slide PowerPoint Presentation that answers the following questions:
1. What is your topic?
2. Why is your topic important to the healthcare industry?
3. Explain the EDP of your topic (Exposure, Disease, Population/Patient)
4. Discuss three (3) population-driven challenges associated with your topic?
5. Discuss three (3) potential solutions that help improve the three challenges you identified?
6. Discuss if there are enough available research studies on your topic. Explain why or why not.
7. Discuss how your topic will impact your identified population/patients in the next 5 to 10 years
8. Discuss one (1) lesson you have learned from completing your research project

Discuss a policy issue, come up with alternatives, select some criteria to evaluate them, and make a
recommendation (remember my earlier buying a car example)?

Now, in the next assignment we are going to begin working with these pieces of an already existing policy
discussion. Here is the outline of the final paper:

Executive Summary: of course this summarizes your process and the outcome of your analysis
Statement of Issue: here we define the issue clearly, and try to quantify the magnitude of it.
Background of Problem – here we try to provide context for the reader, whether economic context, political context, social context, legal context, etc.
Stated Policy Goal: here we settle on a goal our policy is intended to achieve
List and explanation of criteria for analysis: right up front we identify some criteria for evaluating alternatives.
Development of alternatives: here, we develop three alternative methods we think might help us achieve the policy goal.
Identification of stakeholders: who is interested in this policy and why?
Analyzing alternatives with criteria (matrix chart): Our analysis, using the criteria we chose we analyze each alternative
Policy recommendation: our recommendation based on the analysis
Discussion addressing public interest: why would our recommendation be good for the public?

Describe your current knowledge on the research question based on your exploratory research.

Before submitting your revised research question, please review feedback from your peer and any feedback that I have left on recent online classwork assignments. Additionally, please review the Project Overview and Annotated Bibliography prompt to ensure that you understand how the research question will be used in the project as a whole. Your research question must be within your field of study.

Open up a Microsoft Word document and address the following:

Write out your current research question.

Explain how and why you picked this topic and research question. What interests you about the topic? How did you refine your original ideas to arrive at this research question?

Describe your current knowledge on the research question based on your exploratory research. How do you know that this is a good research question to pursue with a sufficient amount of available research? What exploratory research did you do to ensure that it is a viable research question?

What other questions might you have to pursue to be able to answer this particular research question (sub-questions)? What are some keyword combinations you might use in your database research?
