In 2020, an estimated 5.8 million Americans aged 65 years or older had Alzheimer’s disease. This number is projected to nearly triple to 14 million people by 2060. (www.alz.org) This week we are learning about linear equations. The data listed above was found by using data from previous years and predicting the growth of Alzheimer’s disease.

For this week’s discussion question I would like to you to find an example of how mathematics was used to conclude something from the data. I find it more interesting when I look at data which I have a connection. If you want to, say why the data you chose is of interest to you. Make sure you include a link to the site where the data was found.

Women with Trauma and Memory and Learning

One of thestudies focuses on memory bias and the other focuses on cognitive performance in women who have survived trauma. To begin the paper, start with a brief 1 paragraph introduction that defines trauma (i.e., PTSD or acute stress disorder) as defined by the DSM-5-TR. Provide some background information on trauma so that the reader can understand what is trauma, how is it defined, diagnosed, and how does it manifest (i.e., what symptoms are displayed?). It would also be beneficial to provide some national statistics on the prevalence of traumatic stress in the united states or globally as away of saying “here’s why this is important.”
After the intro paragraph, begin summarizing each of studies that are in the references link.

CRITICAL ANALYSIS 4

PLEASE USE THE GUIDELINES AS PROVIDED IN THE CHECKLIST.
Description of incident:
A missing swab at obstetric (18 x 18) left in the patient as a near miss. It was noticed during the first count. Patient was booked for an elective Lower Segment Caesarean Section who also had fibroids. Staffs got to know during the team brief and the necessary equipment was provided based on the EBL.
I was double scrubbing with my mentor and so I saw the swab left in the patient to soak her bleeding.
During the first count my mentor noticed of a missing swab. I told her it’s in the patient but the surgeon denied it yet I could see a bit of the string in the swab showing.
The surgeon kept denying and even shouted at me because I was insisting that the swab was inside the patient. She finally found it when she was about to close the sheet and apologised.
Incident should be attached as an appendix.
