History, contemporary art, the impact of feminist art
The 3 artist I have selected are: Judy Chicago, Mary Kelly and Carolee Schneeman
Overview
You will write a 1,500-word (approximately 5, 6-page) paper on a contemporary art movement (developed AFTER Abstract Expressionism) of your choosing. Your topic will include a minimum of three artists pertinent to your topic. One of the artists can be a historical figure (pre-1945) to give context to developments within the contemporary art movement you choose.
Why
A work of art is a visual form of communication. Artist have intent in creating their works. When we write an in-depth research paper about a specific topic, we expand on our gained knowledge and what we have learned (to write a formal analysis, to compare works to each other) to write in an informed way on an artistic topic. You will provide factual information about the topic, refer to historical precedents, and provide your unique interpretations based upon your research.
Requirements
This assignment spans the second half of the semester. To succeed, you will:
choose a topic from any contemporary art movement (developed AFTER Abstract Expressionism)
contact your instructor if you have questions as you choose your topic, works you will discuss, and position (aka, thesis)
by Mar 29, submit your topic to your instructor via Canvas (5 points)
by Apr 19, submit your final paper via Canvas (95 points)
you will identify each work of art in your paper but don’t need to include images; your final project, the Digital Exhibit, is where you will showcase the works you discuss in your paper
follow these formatting requirements:
MS Word document (or similar), 12-pt font (ex: Times New Roman), double-spaced, with margins no less than 1-in.
Include your name, date, the course number, and your assignment’s original title at the top of your paper
Include a list of all works cited. All illustrations will be properly captioned, including: artist, title, date, medium, dimensions, and collecting institution (if known)
Proper citation is required in this course. Please refer to The Chicago Manual of Style 16th ed. to format all footnotes, endnotes, captions, and bibliographic references. For advice on when, where, and how to cite sources, see Yale’s Writing Center (Links to an external site.); for general writing information, see UNLV’s Writing Center (Links to an external site.)
Failure to use proper citation on written assignments will result in a lowered assignment grade. Repeated occurrence or blatant disregard could indicate plagiarism, which automatically results in a failing grade for the course. It is your responsibility to become familiar with citing courses: complete proper citation is required on each and every assignment.Overview

Fixing missing citations – Indigenous over-incarceration essay
You are to go through this essay and fix the errors of the previous writer. The citations are not complete. I have highlighted every sentence that needs to be cited, including one blue paragraph that needs complete rewriting.
Please cite each SENTENCE that is highlighted. Either use the sources already provided, or add new ones. But each indiviual highlighted sentence. Please do not cite 3 sentences as one because they are all highlighted consequtively ; they need to be individually cited.
I have attached the paper , as well as the original instructions + sources document so you know what it is about and how the flow is meant to be.
I put 8 sources required as a MINIMUM. Please , as i said, add new sources to cite the sentences.
This is an academic research paper, and the way it is written does not sound at a University level. Please do what is needed to elevate it. I would suggest editing the generational trauma , legal realm , and poverty paragraphs. There is repetition ; eliminate that. Please just elevate the paper.

Individual Semi-structured Interview Report
The brief requirement is to find a real consulting staff member, ask them some questions and record them to form a report, the content of which must be related to the content of the material. The brief requirement is to find a real consulting staff member, ask them some questions and record them to form a report, the content of which must be related to the content of the material.
The mechanics of the report
You are required to write a summary report deriving from the semi-structured interview with the practicing consultant. Please select 10 of the 11 questions presented in the interview questionnaire , structure the report around the selected questions (including sub-questions), and report the results in a professionally written document. You will need to exercise some judgment in deciding what to include to reflect as much as possible the content of your specific interview, while keeping it interesting and useful.
The report should be between 15 and 20 double-spaced typewritten pages long, or about 4,000 to 5,000 words, title page excluded.
This individual assignment has 20% of your total grade assigned to it. The report will be graded out of 100 points based on the following criteria:
10% for form, format, style
10% for coherence and clarity
70% for key findings and issues (breadth and depth)
10% for summary of what was learned in the interview that you did not know before (usefulness of the interview; one page at the end to conclude the report)
UPDATE:
1- For the Interview report, as the directions say, choose 10 questions. The interviews will be quite long. Leave out the question that is the least interesting/valuable for you. Use the sub-questions to better understand the main question. You may not need to ask all the sub-questions. They are there to prompt the interviewee it you need to.
2- Ask the questions, write the summarized answer, and link it briefly to the course content. Some answers will be longer than others obviously but if the question and answer take half a page that should be sufficient. Attach the actual survey and responses in the appendix..
3- Re: citations/references – if the content in the answer links to course content, then indicate that the response supported/contradicted/other the course content. If you use course content, reference it.
4- No outside sources are required.
5- Make sure to use 12 point font, double space response summaries, regular borders
6- Format for the report – List the question and provide the answer. The question can be single spaced. The response should be double spaced.
7 – Please begin the report with some background on your interviewee–who you interviewed — first name only, job title, company name or type of company.

An mRNA-Derived Noncoding RNA Targets and Regulates the Ribosome
This is an article review and below are the instructions ( basically questions to respond after reading the article):
Answer the following questions about the article below. These questions focus on the introduction and results beginning from the bottom of page 149 (Figures 3, 4, and 5).
Pircher, A., Bakowska-Zywicka, K., Schneider, L., Zywicki, M., and Polacek, N. (2014) An mRNA-derived noncoding RNA targets and regulates the ribosome. Molecular Cell 54, 147-155. (click on reference for active hyperlink)
1. The Summary states that “an mRNA-derived 18-nucleotide-long ncRNA is capable of downregulating translation in Saccharomyces cerevisiae by targeting the ribosome.” Explain the difference between an mRNA and an ncRNA in this context.
2. Figure 3A shows the overall growth of yeast in high salt conditions, each with different combinations of DNA expressed in the cell.
a. Describe each of the 4 treatment groups shown in Figure 3A. What DNA is being expressed in each? Why were each of these DNA sequences tested?
b. What is the interpretation of the results in Figure 3A? Be specific about how the sum of ALL of the data lead to this conclusion.
3. Explain how 35S-Met was used in the experiment shown in Figure 4. How is detection of this radioactive molecule used in Figure 4B?
4. Explain the purpose of including cycloheximide (CHX) in the experiments shown in Figures 4 and 5. Be specific regarding the effect of CHX and the reason it was used in terms of experimental design.
5. The authors concluded that the 18-mer ncRNA inhibited translation initiation.
a. What specific figure panel do you think is the most direct evidence of this? Explain your answer.
b. Answer this based on your own knowledge of translation initiation and not based on the paper: what is one way that you could envision a ncRNA interrupting the translation initiation process?
