Explain how the policy impacts the public at large or a particular population.

Describe the policy issue, policy problem of interest or a particular bill that your legislator has introduced
Elaborate on why the policy matters and what you can possibly do to strengthen the policy?
Briefly define the role you would play as an advocate for the healthcare consumer and healthcare professionals.
Explain how the policy impacts the public at large or a particular population.
What stakeholders would you collaborate with to promote the cause?

What approach does Pellegrino take in his exploration of the moral conflicts that exist between patients and physicians regarding autonomy?

-Why Medical Professionals Have No Moral Claim to Conscientious Objection Accommodation in Liberal Democracies, Udo Schuklenk and Ricardo Smalling
What approach does Pellegrino take in his exploration of the moral conflicts that exist between patients and physicians regarding autonomy? What approach do Schuklenk and Smalling take in their exploration of the moral conflicts that exist between patients and physicians regarding autonomy? In liberal democracies where all individuals have both rights and responsibilities, explain what actions could be taken when patient/health professional rights and professional obligations regarding assisted death are in conflict?

Critically discuss issues in the light of the current era, in which Canadian policy rapidly shifted toward legalization of cannabis, which influences the decisions of both clinicians and patients.

Canada legalized the consumption and sale of ‘recreational’ cannabis in 2018 through the
passing of the Bill C-45, the Cannabis Act. Yet, there are social concerns about the drug’s
addictiveness and health effects, especially among young people. Critically discuss issues
in the light of the current era, in which Canadian policy rapidly shifted toward legalization
of cannabis, which influences the decisions of both clinicians and patients.
You are expected to flesh out the ethical dilemmas in legalizing cannabis in Canada.
Critically discuss that the ethical concerns will become more complex as science and
technology become intertwined further with society.

What types of studies have been done relating to those in your study species or similar species?

you will conduct a literature search of this behavior that will serve as the introduction for
your final project. This will need to include a general introduction to your species and the behavior you
are studying. Tell us about the animal you are studying. Where can it be found? What are its life history
traits? What makes this an interesting animal to study? What research has been done on your study
species that leads you to believe the behavior that you have selected is of interest.
Introduce your behavior. What research has already been done on the topic? In what environments?
How? What were the key findings? Usually, research papers will present a discussion that lays out
questions that still need to be answered or suggestions for future research. What is still to be
discovered? Find a minimum of 10 references on your behavior of interest and/or study species. If the
behavior hasn’t been studied that much, find similar behaviors that have. For example, if you would like
to study the dusting behavior in elephants but can’t find any studies on it, maybe rhinos or hippos
display a similar behavior. Maybe it is similar to rolling in dust in other mammal species. Be creative.
Find research that helps guide your research question and hypotheses.
Be sure to include topics that have been introduced in class where appropriate. For example, if you are
studying a foraging behavior, what types of concepts did we learn in class addressing those? What types
of studies have been done relating to those in your study species or similar species?
Finally, you will want to include the hypothesis that you tend to study and your predictions about that
hypothesis. Explain which level of analysis you are studying and why you believe that best answers your
question of interest.
Write a 2-3 page introduction (references not included), double spaced with regular margins and 12 pt
Times New Roman font. Include your references in APA style. This will be very similar to your Literature
Review assignment, so you can approach it in a similar fashion. Use comments from your Literature
Review grade to assist you in improving your final project.

Explain why sometimes, the artificial laboratory environment may be preferable to real world settings.

Read the following article and answer the questions that follow:
Anderson, C. A., & Bushman, B. J. (1997). External validity of “trivial” experiments: The case of laboratory aggression. Review of General Psychology, 1, 19-41.
1. In general, which has higher internal validity: experiments or correlational studies? Why?
2. In general, which has higher external validity: field research or laboratory research? Why?
3. Anderson and Bushman (1997) argue that if a study has low internal validity, a discussion of external validity is meaningless. Explain.
4. Explain why sometimes, the artificial laboratory environment may be preferable to real world settings.
5. Describe a few ways in which researchers measure aggression in a laboratory setting.
6. Describe a few ways in which researchers measure aggression in the real world.
7. On the surface, it seems as though indeed, laboratory settings have little relation to the outside world (note, for instance, the differences in your answers for questions 5 and 6). How do Anderson and Bushman (1997) refute this claim?

8. According to Anderson and Bushman (1997), in what way is aggression in the laboratory similar to aggression in the real world? Why is it important to note these similarities?
