NOTES
1. One important caveat: this is an essay on Religious Studies, NOT theology or philosophy of religion.
2. There are two parts to the essay; the first is a question with a 2000-word response, and the second is is 750.
3. The focus of the answer is on the analysis, not just a description.
4. Each academic paragraph should contain a reference to a primary and secondary source.
5. All citations must be in the Harvard system “with” a page number (this is the university’s citation system – THE PAGE NUMBER IS VERY IMPORTANT)
6. Professor’s cautions:
a. Avoid writing lengthy paragraphs; instead, aim for 200-350 words per paragraph.
b. Instead of long direct quotes, use short quotes or paraphrases.
c. While the majority of the essay is analytical, keep the description to a minimal and only when offering evidence for the point you wish to support.
d. Use material culture and the concept of religion as it is lived

Part 2 (Reply):
Please respond to your 3 group member’s posts (each response to the post should be 100 words). Your replies should help recognize the questions you would like to ask each guest speaker and cite the reason(s) you like the proposed questions. The 3 posts to reply are given below:

Do you have the ability to follow up with them so you can chart and put the information into the EMR system for them, or once they are done for the day, does that mean that patient does not get any notes charted?
Question for Dr. Kate Dunkley – You mentioned this is an outpatient clinic. Are your patients primarily referrals or do you also treat walk-in or emergency type patients?
Question for Jennifer Zasimovitch – Is cleaning out a person’s mouth always part of therapy for swallowing? Is it mostly sanitizing and brushing to remove bacteria?
And thank you to whoever posted last week… Hope everyone had a good break!
2) Sarah Serralta: What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Dr. Kate Dunkley: What would the first step be for parents after you tell them their infant has permanent hearing loss?
Jennifer Zasimovitch: What made you more drawn to working with adults in the hospital setting?
