Nature vs Nurture: A Guide for Parents

With research, create a formal proposal of how the psychology topic of nature vs nurture can be used to instruct/guide parents of children while answering these questions: What is nature vs nurture? Does one aspect, either nature or nurture, affect a child’s development the most? What are the most important things for a parent to know when it comes to nature vs nurture and how they can incooperate this into their parenting styles?

Breathing oxygen

The assignment should include a discussion of all components listed in the question, and should not cover the entire body system anatomy and physiology. A complete assignment should not exceed 2-3 pages plus the reference page. You are to submit one document for the group, and each person will receive the same grade. Separately, you will need to submit a group evaluation form, which will allow me to grade participation individually. During quiet breathing, trace the pathway for oxygen from atmospheric air, starting with how it, along with air, gets into the lungs, how it gets transferred to and then transported in the blood, and how it moves from blood to tissues. Include any numbers involved and explain how they “occur”. Be sure to explain all mechanisms involved with these processes IN DETAIL. Please make sure all steps are in order. Clearing Air & Greenhouse Gases COLLAPSE

Clearing Air & Greenhouse Gases
COLLAPSE
From your reading material you see that The Clean Air Act addresses much more than just air emissions from power plants, although this is what many people focus on. The Clean Air Act also works to control air pollution from other sources, and is emphasized differently in different areas.
For this Threaded Discussion please provide examples of how the Clean Air Act controls other sources of air pollution. You can provide this from your own experience, but also look on the Internet. The Clean Air Act spreads a much wider net than we think! How much emphasis should be put on other sources vs emissions from power plants?
As you discuss this question consider where you live and work. Some of us live in urban areas, some very rural. How does this affect prioritization or emphasis on controlling air pollution? Are the rules the same in urban and rural areas? Considering where you live: is smog in urban areas being addressed well enough, or is too much emphasis being placed on city air and more should be done for rural areas? What if you live in a rural area? Is dust a big problem that EPA needs to address more? Is the EPA putting too much or too little emphasis on rural air pollution vs urban air pollution?
Threaded Discussions for our last unit were based largely on personal opinion and feelings. Now, however, you need to back up your comments with facts, or credible references, or valid experience. This is not a place for broadbrush generalizations or personal opinions based only on how you feel. You need to substantiate your points, make persuasive arguments…..and don’t be afraid to challenge others, where your facts may be contrary.
How is EPA applies Clean Air Act to regulate greenhouse gases? Reference the following reading Clean Air Act Permitting for Greenhouse Gases
Fuel efficiency standard of around 54 miles per gallon, on average, for new vehicles .
Requiring pre-construction permits for major stationary sources.
standards of performance for operation of the facility.

Module 2 – Assignment Public Policy and Sustainability

It wasn’t that long ago that coal-fired power plants generated over half of the electricity in the United States. Now, more electricity is generated by burning natural gas than coal. In some months, coal is also outpaced by renewables. Some coal advocates have claimed that there is a “war on coal” and it is essentially being regulated to death. Regulations limiting, or proposing to limit, SO2 emissions, mercury emissions, fine particulate matter emissions, ash disposal and carbon dioxide emissions, to name just a few, have made coal uneconomic, say the coal advocates. Other, more market-oriented analysts, say that low-cost natural gas (from fracking) and low-cost renewables (benefiting from subsidies such as the Production Tax Credit) have made coal less competitive. There is no doubt that the generation of electricity from coal is in decline in the United States.
What is your view on the cause of the decline? Please explain your answer.
This assignment should be at least one page and no more than two pages in length.

– Your thesis statement should not include several sentences, and it should take a stand on an issue; thus it must NOT make a statement that in some ways something is not recommended but in some ways it is: In some ways, yoga classes would be good for high school students but in other ways they would not be good. Furthermore, your argument thesis statement should not pose a rhetorical question, such as “Should yoga classes really be offered in high schools?”

why do some managers hate the perfeomance evaluation?

Some managers would rather get a root canal and then go through the performance evaluation process with their direct reports. Why? What does research tell you?
Address the following when answering the above question : what traits does an effective manager display in the workplace?
Is there a profile for a manager who may struggle with the evaluation process?
What are the key elements of a successful employee evaluation process? How should a manager prepare for the event?
Develop an evaluation form for your direct reports and show how the valuation criterion correlates to organizations objectives.

Should a similar cap-and-trade program be adopted for carbon dioxide (greenhouse gas) emissions? If you favor a similar program, would you propose a bill in Congress or an administrative agency rulemaking?

The 1990 Clean Air Act amendments created the Acid Rain Program. A cap-and-trade system was put in place. In order to emit sulfur dioxide (SO2), power plants had to have an “allowance” for each ton of SO2 emitted. Utilities were given some allowances, but not enough for full compliance. A nation-wide cap was set on SO2 emissions. The total amount of allowances available each year was equal to the cap. Utilities had to purchase allowances or find a way to reduce SO2 emissions. (For example, they could install an SO2 scrubber at their power plants, or they could switch to lower-sulfur coal, as well as purchase allowances.) This program is today viewed as successful – SO2 emissions have been reduced to such a level that they are not longer considered a problem.
